General Forum Rules:
1.Respect for any and all members that join. If you have a problem with them, send a PM to the moderators and we'll do our best to resolve it.
2.You must be active. Threads are allowed to move on without you after one day of no posting. Your membership will be terminated after 2 weeks of not posting. If you are going on vacation, then you must send a PM to a moderator, or announce it in the OOC section.
3.Before you can post you must have a character description and background available in the character section of the forum.
1.You must write at least more than two sentences of content each post. We want to keep the RP flowing. The more detail you can provide, the better the response and in turn- the more rich the experience.
6. We are a literate group of individuals, lets keep it that way. Spelling and grammar mistakes are fine, everyone does it. But, no internet shorthand or just plain bad English.
7. Keep everything on a PG-13 level, if you really have an itching betwixt your nether regions then go somewhere else.
8. Posting huge images or having humongous signatures is forbidden, don't do it, and we won't have to ban you.
9.Have fun! Please let us know if there is anything you need or want so we can make this RP more enjoyable for you.
RP Rules:
1. Keep all OOC in the OOC forum. If you -must- say something OOC in the RP thread then use double parenthesis. EX: ((This is ooc text)) But please do your best to keep this to a minimum.
2. If you want to have a IC conversation that nobody can spy on, communicate through PM's or chat. Anything on the forum is open to possible eavesdropping.
1. NO GOD MODDING. If you God Mod you WILL BE TERMINATED after 3 strikes. Examples of god modding are:
-Making a character that is not yours do something without their consent. ie. Making them take a hit from your attack, or forcing them to move out of your way.
-Being untouchable. ie. Never getting hit, being indestructible, never getting injured. ONLY special situations where the big bad is involved can this happen. (See below.)
-Psychically knowing things. ie. Metagaming, knowing about conversations that your character wouldn't know about. Bringing prior knowledge of an OOC conversation into IC.
8. Stick to the lore. Small liberties can be taken (such as the Stubborn Barnacle), but do not make characters or create events that are against all previously established lore.
ie. Pretending to be Illadin's half-brother who totally is a badass Paladin dude whose destiny is to kill Arthas.
9. (Special rule) The Big Bad. The Big Bad refers to the main ‘bad guy’ of the story. This person may facilitate the RP that happens between everyone else. The Big Bad has an important role, and so it must be respected. Whoever the Big Bad is must understand that they are not infallible, they can go down if they put themselves in a bad situation. However, for story purposes, the Big Bad will be one of the more powerful figures in the RP.
For all these reasons, the Big Bad will not show up every post. Keep in mind that he/she is necessary for continuing storyline. Anyone other than the Big Bad is subject to all the forum rules. This is not to say that you have to do everything the Big Bad says. He/still will need to confirm OOCly if a major action is okay. (Such as death of a character.) So we request you keep these rules in mind to facilitate maximum enjoyment.
The current big bad will have a sickied character description in the character section of the forums. To be the Big Bad, you must RP an evil character. And if you gain enough reputation within the forum we can vote for the Big Bad in the OOC forum. Remember! If your the big bad, you cannot show up every other post to mess with characters.
